We catch up with Clementine McVeigh, mother and model, to discuss the meaning of motherhood, inspirations and how she juggles her career and being a mother. She is mother to two adorable girls, Lolita, 8, and Florence, 3.

What does being a Mother mean to you?
Everything.
It is honestly the best thing that has ever happened to me. I appreciate it everyday and can’t imagine life without my girls.
What is the best piece of advice that your mum passed onto you which you will pass onto your daughters?
She has taught me a lot. She instilled in me growing up to always be kind. To follow your dreams and don’t let anyone clip your wings.
The most memorable is definitely how she has always said that there are 24 hours in a day so there is no excuse to not get dressed up and put some lippie on.
That is definitely where I have gotten my glamorous side from!

How do you balance your work and being a Mother?
Honestly, I just juggle and get it done!
I left home when I was 17 and have been modelling for 21 years now.
You just learn along the way that you have to make things happen.
At the end of the day however, I always put my girls first. I don’t like leaving them so I will say no. It’s important to remember that you can say no! If the job is not right or me or for my girls, I will and have turned down jobs.
What has been the best part of motherhood?
To be honest, it sounds very cliche but I love everything! Maybe not the lack of sleep though!
My husband and I lost our first daughter to a heart condition.
That has inspired us to appreciate every second and enjoy every minute with Lolita and Florence.
I am grateful to have them and to be able to spend time with them. Our first daughter has shown us that everything can change and you shouldn’t take anything for granted.

Do you have a piece of jewellery that represents motherhood?
Yes haha! My poor husband!
I have three beautiful Cartier Love bangles – one for each of my girls.
Their names are engraved on the inside and I wear them with me everyday. These will be passed down to Lolita and Florence when they are older.
