"With roots stretching back to 1860 in Florence, Officine Panerai watches are a unique blend of Italian design, Swiss technology and passion for the sea.”

Officine Panerai was founded in Florence in 1860 as a workshop, shop and watchmaking school. The family business became a longstanding supplier of precision instruments to the Italian Navy, particularly for its special underwater corps. Designs developed during this time such as the Luminor and Radomir watch were protected by military secret for many years.

Every Panerai watch is produced at the Manufacture in Neuchâtel, Switzerland where Officine Panerai designs, develops and produces the movements and cases of its watches which are assembled through of a number of precise stages and subject to rigorous quality control.
